My name is Kenyon and I am a 23 year-old Irish Canadian from Toronto. After graduating university, I moved to Germany in the summer of 2016 with what turned out to be a horrible immigration plan. Almost one year and a brand new Irish passport later, I think I may have things figured out… well, except for an actual plan. I do however, have an insatiable love of castles, obsession with hats, and desperate need to see EVERYTHING.

I spend my days falling down castle stairs or hiking across European borders and realizing I have no cell reception and forgot to bring a GPS. Occasionally, I unintentionally deport myself while travelling because I packed the wrong passport. The odd Sunday, I have to go to two other countries to find a store that is open so I can buy milk. Most of the time, I’m just trying to stay out of trouble and get yelled at in as few languages each day as possible. I don’t understand German online banking and Belgian drivers scare the piss out of me.

This is the chronicle of an individual who does not always know what country she is in and spends about 85% of her time extremely lost. I overpack my bag everywhere that I go and I have weird spending habits. This is not the place to look for advice on affordable travel or good planning. This is a public record of my insanely awesome but completely dysfunctional approach to life and my attempt to master the art of “winging-it”.
